Christmas Message from the Headteacher

As we make our way towards the end of our first term at Hornbill School I am sure that most of us are looking forward to a well-earned rest over the Christmas period. This special time of year always reminds me about the special bond that families share and how important it is to be able to spend quality time with each other.  Our Hornbill family has really grown this term and it is hard to believe that only 3 months ago most children were new to the school. You should be proud of your children and how well they have settled into this academic year – whether they were existing Hornbill pupils or new to the school.

Over the last few weeks throughout the school we have been looking at what Christmas means and how Christians prepare themselves for the coming celebrations on the 25th December.  Our Advent assemblies, Nativities and Christmas Concerts help children understand the Christmas Story and what it means to be together over this period. Now as we come towards the end of this year we can celebrate the huge achievements that have taken place and look forward to the challenges of 2018.

Whatever your religion and however you are going to use the coming holiday, I wish you a very Merry Christmas period and a Happy New Year.
