Our Values for this term is ‘Who’s is the King of the Castle?’.
Year four’s second theme is an historical study of the lifestyles of people living in the medieval times. It focuses on the life and work of a knight and link very closely to the school values of care and concern. Children will have the opportunity to learn about a modern king—His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei as well as studying past kings and stories. Children will compare the historical kings and their roles with the modern day kings as well as compare their own lifestyles with the difficulties of living in medieval times. This theme will focus on design and technology and children will be creating their own shields and catapults.
