We had Mr Bill Collar, ICT CORE Advisory Teacher SCE, Mr Tony Burrett and Mr Eamonn Horton, ICT Assessors from Becta UK visit our school this week. Becta is the government agency leading the national drive to ensure the effective and innovative use of technology throughout learning. Mr Burrett and Mr Horton were here to assess how ICT is integrated into our curriculum and how it is being used to help children make progress. Mr Burrett and Mr Horton were extremely impressed with all the work they saw and have judged our school a worthy recipient of the ICT Mark. So, we are very proud of all our children, staff and especially our ICT team consisting of Sharon Noble, Govinda Gurung, Vicky Thrippleton, Adam Bennett, Freddy Chan and Terry Banks. Congratulations everyone. Mr Burrett and Mr Horton have also assessed us for ICT Best Whole School Excellence Award. There are only 40 other schools in the UK who are competing for this award. We will not know the result of this assessment until later in the year.
